HARTING ix Industrial Ethernet Interface

Author : Harting Published Time : 2018-01-26
HARTING ix Industrial® Cables establish a benchmark for Ethernet interface modularization and digitization. These cables offer a potential replacement for conventional RJ45 connection, taking up 70% less space than RJ45 with more robustness. HARTING ix Industrial features 5000 mating cycles and Cat. 6A performance for 1/10Gb/s Ethernet. The active locking of the socket and connector uses two stable metal snap-in hooks, providing clear haptic feedback that confirms a secure connection. The connection between cable sheath and plug connection is engineered in the form of a robust crimp connection. This robust crimp connection ensures a robust interface that meets the high shock and vibration resistance established in EN 50155 railway specifications. The product line is available in Type A (Cat6A Ethernet) and Type B (signal and bus communication) codings and is standardized according to IEC 61076-3-124.
